  Worship Arts

Our Worship Arts Ministry exists to creatively use the arts to capture attention, break down barriers, and inspire the heart, in order to facilitate a connection with God.  Our desire is to see God's fame expanded by a growing community of true worshippers.

At Immanuel, we understand worship to be a lifestyle—one that encompasses weekend singing and praying as a gathering of church family as well as subtler aspects of our everyday individual routines.

Scripture tells us that when we offer our lives to God for His purpose, we are actually participating in a special, spiritual act of worship. And when, as a church community, we begin to connect to God in a way that goes beyond the motions, we start to see worship in a whole new dimension—one that is an integral part of the way we live our lives and relate to those around us.

We invite you to join us as we sing songs, pray and continue to find new ways to worship our Creator, both inside and outside church walls.

Some of the opportunities available for you in worship arts are:

Vocal Team:   Worship vocalists sing in services every Sunday morning. Candidates will interview and audition with the Worship Arts Pastor. Worship team vocalists must show exceptional vocal ability and be team players that desire to model outstanding Christian character.

Instrumental Team:  Our worship band is an exciting opportunity for instrumentalists. Each week our band plays fresh, modern Christian worship music designed to inspire our congregation to authentically worship God. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm. Interested individuals will interview and audition with the Worship Arts Pastor, must be able to demonstrate exceptional instrumental ability, be proficient in reading instrumental charts, and be team players that desire to model outstanding Christian character.

Drama Team:  At Immanuel, we believe that God's word is relevant in our everyday lives. Our drama team members skillfully illustrate how God's word can make a real difference in our daily routines. If you are interested in putting your acting skills to work as part of our drama team please contact Payge Whipple (paygecmj@yahoo.com).

Tech Team:  Our tech team serves faithfully every week to ensure that our worship environment is as seamless and free of distractions as possible. The team provides media for each service and produces a great environment where our church family can have meaningful worship experiences. Interested individuals will interview with the appropriate team leader, and must be team players with a desire to learn and share their skills. We have opportunities for people interested in sound, lighting, video operations, and stage design.

Production Team:  Our service producers are the very gifted leaders on our team who call the cues for each service. They are the ones responsible for making sure the entire service runs smoothly; from sound and lighting cues to the placement and removal of people and props on stage, they coordinate all of our technical teams, via headset, to make the entire service work. This is a position that requires high people skills and a strong ability to manage multiple details simultaneously. If you have strong experience in event coordination, drama directing, or technical producing, this would be a great area for you.

Creative Development Team:  Our Creative Development team works with the Senior Pastor and the Worship Arts Pastor to brainstorm and develop creative ideas for use in our services.  Most of our services at Immanuel are developed around a theme.  This team works to develop those themes with a creative use of the arts.

If you're interested in using your artistic gifts on one of our teams, please contact our Worship Arts Pastor, Kelly Davis: kellyd@immanuelhome.org.

We gather to worship on Sunday mornings, 9:00 and 10:45 (identical services).  Check out details on this coming Sunday HERE.
